Divyagandham

ॐ श्रीं महालक्ष्म्यै नमः।

This is the great bīja (seed) mantra for the Goddess. 'Om' is the universal sound. 'Shrim' is the seed of abundance, the very sound-form of Lakshmi, representing prosperity, beauty, and grace. 'Mahalakshmyai' is her full name as the Great Goddess of Fortune. 'Namah' means 'I bow'. And why offer Gulab? Because while scripture names the Lotus as her divine seat, the Rose is offered in pure devotional practice as a symbol of love, grace, and a shubh (auspicious) heart. Offering this Gulab fragrance is a bhāva of invitation; it is making our home a beautiful, loving space worthy of her presence.
